Pharmaceuticals in our waters?! It used to be that flushing was acceptable. Now we know better.

Eric Swenson wrote "Last night the Suffolk County Legislature passed a bill requiring health care facilities to safely dispose of unwanted and expired medications instead of flushing them.  This bill was spearheaded by Citizens Campaign for the Environment.  Similar efforts in Nassau County will be getting underway."
