Located on historic the Main Street of the charming North Shore village of Northport, the Northport Historical Society offers visitors to its museum a look back at the people, places and events that helped shape our community. The Museum's main gallery offers both a permanent exhibit with an overview of the history of the area and changing exhibits throughout the year that highlight different topics of interest.
The Museum Shop is a treasure trove of consigned and donated antiques and collectibles. There is also a selection of new books, "Then and Now" Main Street and Bayview Avenue DVD's, and other small gift items. Its eclectic merchandise can provide gifts for any occasion.
Both the Museum and Museum Shop are open to the public Tuesdays-Sundays from 1:00 - 4:30 p.m. throughout the year.
